after a positive experience with the DO200PRO, this is the second converter of this nice DO series from smsl. Sonically, it's next little step forward. Perfect resolution, presentation of space and dynamics. I can only recommend.
Just got the DO300 today. Replaced my Topping E50 and listened to my music straight away. Honestly, marginal improvement in sound with heavier bass. Not very impressed. However, a more future proofed ESS chip with Bluetooth connectivity might still be worth upgrading.
SMSL non delude mai ! ottimo DAC ad un prezzo eccezzionale simile o migliore di altri di prezzo anche 4 volte superiore,tutti gli ingressi immaginabili e uscite bilanciate XLR + RCA telecomando che comanda tutte e dico tutte le funzioni compreso Stanbay per lo spegnimento fisico c'è l apposito interruttore sul retro. Come suona? Bene anche con bluetooth io uso Tidal HIFI plus e posso ascoltare anche brani MQA (altissima definizione) e la differenza si sente.
I am not an expert in the field of high fidelity music. However, as an introduction to this world, I chose this DAC after seeing and reading positive reviews. I connected it to an amplifier, also from smsl, the ho200 model, and to a mini PC with a Daphile installed as a music source. I can say no more than that the level of sound quality has improved considerably in comparison with my previous experience with the combination of an ak kann player and a beyerdynamic amiron home. From the point of view of Hifi Sound's after-sales service, I would also recommend it.
