Little Dot MK9 is a headphone amplifier of our company that uses a tube as an amplifying device. It uses 3 electron tubes (pre-stage: 6N9P, post-stage: 6080 * 2) as two stereo left and right channel amplifiers. The input signal is an audio signal from a CD player or decoder, and the amplified output signal is used to drive the headphones. The unit also has a RCA signal output for the pre-stage, which is used to supply other power amplifiers as the pre-stage.
Features of this machine:MK9 uses the SEPP single-ended push-pull, OCL without output capacitor direct coupling power amplifier circuit which is relatively rare in the tube amplifier circuit. The output dynamics of this circuit are much larger than the average cathode output (undistorted swing: 30Vp-p). Due to the elimination of the output capacitor, the low-frequency response can dive deeper, the midrange can be more solid, and the treble will be more transparent.However, in order to make the DC level of the circuit zero in the case of direct coupling, a complex positive and negative symmetrical power supply is required. For the stable operation of the circuit, the machine also uses a "zero servo" tracking circuit. In order to ensure the safety of the output load, there is also a relay protection circuit composed of a dedicated chip for output protection.
